Packaging software for Linux is a real challenge, and we've spent a lot of time researching and testing methods to make this as clean as possible. You will need to install at least one of these on your system before you install the demo of whatever application you are going to test. This only applies for the Linux operating system. You can use the rpm or the tarball,the * is used in the file names to indicate that the rest of the file name is mutable and not applicable to the information you care about.
