There's been a truly staggering number of posts on the subject - and every time it's raised, the same points come up. The only things to have happened recently were the new @ syntax, and PJE's settrace hack. If not now, when? This could drag on for another 14 months, otherwise - and I really don't want to hold up 2.4 final for that long.
