Right, and it sucks because there are multiple top-level entry points into the system (e.g. command line and cron scripts) and each has to mangle the path very early on. Then there's the pain of not being able to run for the source directory because the configure/install procedure sets up the path hacking module with the proper paths. Blech. -Barry
