yeah, but wasn't gerrit's problem that his suggestion
*was* implemented, but not by using his exact patch?

if submitting patches turns into some kind of land-
grabbing game ("hey, I now own that part of the
code, since I submitted a patch"), we're in for a
really bumpy ride on our way to Py3K.
