Drake, Jr. (fdrake) Summary: tkSimpleDialog.askString option Initial Comment: I read the documentation of tkSimpleDialog.askString and found that there are only two options: initialvalue and parent. However, it doesn't support the option, show, from the Entry widget option that avoids echoing the string I input. I found the tkSimpleDialog.askString is a perfect fit for dialogs asking for encryption key or password. Although it is easy to write my own, I don't see the need because of an option. Many thanks Joe ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Fred L. If you wait for one of us to write it, it may be a loooooooong time before we get to it (like when we need this ourselves :-). Since you know how to do it, it shouldn't be too hard for you to prepare a patch.
