In addition to forced response predictions (bearing loads and shaft deflections), we can analyze and include the following types of bearings in a system model:
Rolling element bearings
(ball and roller)
quasi-static analysis (deflection vs load)
transient
life estimates
Fluid Films
hydrodynamic
hydrostatic
squeeze films
annular seals
most liquids and gases
Magnetic
full control circuit model
frequency-dependent sensors, controllers, amplifiers, actuators
coupled to structural dynamics for combined system response
With most rotor-bearing systems, supports play a significant factor in both natural frequency and forced response analyses. We calculate the dynamic coefficients and also consider sensitivity.
