SpeechGrammar

Deprecated: This feature is no longer recommended. Though some browsers might still support it, it may have already been removed from the relevant web standards, may be in the process of being dropped, or may only be kept for compatibility purposes. Non-standard: This feature is not standardized. We do not recommend using non-standard features in production, as they have limited browser support, and may change or be removed. However, they can be a suitable alternative in specific cases where no standard option exists.

The SpeechGrammar interface of the Web Speech API represents a set of words or patterns of words that we want the recognition service to recognize.

Grammar is defined using JSpeech Grammar Format (JSGF.) Other formats may also be supported in the future.

Constructor

Creates a new SpeechGrammar object.

Instance properties
SpeechGrammar.src Deprecated Non-standard

Sets and returns a string containing the grammar from within in the SpeechGrammar object instance.

SpeechGrammar.weight Optional Deprecated Non-standard

Sets and returns the weight of the SpeechGrammar object.
