The dy read-only property of the SVGFEDropShadowElement interface reflects the dy attribute of the given <feDropShadow> element.

An SVGAnimatedNumber object.

In this example, we retrieve the vertical shift of the <feDropShadow> by using the dx read-only property of the SVGFEDropShadowElement interface.
