Das <nav>-Element HTML reprÃ¤sentiert einen Abschnitt einer Seite, dessen Zweck es ist, Navigationslinks entweder innerhalb des aktuellen Dokuments oder zu anderen Dokumenten bereitzustellen. HÃ¤ufige Beispiele fÃ¼r Navigationsabschnitte sind MenÃ¼s, Inhaltsverzeichnisse und Indizes.

Nutzungshinweise

Es ist nicht notwendig, dass alle Links in einem <nav>-Element enthalten sind. <nav> ist nur fÃ¼r einen Hauptblock von Navigationslinks vorgesehen; typischerweise hat das <footer>-Element oft eine Liste mit Links, die nicht in einem <nav>-Element sein mÃ¼ssen.
Ein Dokument kann mehrere <nav>-Elemente enthalten, zum Beispiel eines fÃ¼r die Seitennavigation und eines fÃ¼r die innerseitige Navigation. In einem solchen Fall kann aria-labelledby verwendet werden, um die ZugÃ¤nglichkeit zu verbessern, siehe Beispiel.
Benutzeragenten, wie Bildschirmleseprogramme fÃ¼r behinderte Benutzer, kÃ¶nnen dieses Element verwenden, um zu bestimmen, ob die anfÃ¤ngliche Darstellung von nur fÃ¼r die Navigation vorgesehenem Inhalt weggelassen werden soll.

Beispiele

In diesem Beispiel wird ein <nav>-Block verwendet, um eine ungeordnete Liste (<ul>) von Links zu enthalten. Mit entsprechendem CSS kann dies als Seitenleiste, Navigationsleiste oder Dropdown-MenÃ¼ dargestellt werden.

Die Semantik des nav-Elements besteht darin, Links bereitzustellen. Ein nav-Element muss jedoch keine Liste enthalten, sondern kann auch andere Arten von Inhalten umfassen. In diesem Navigationsblock werden Links im Prosaformat bereitgestellt:
