The Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Grid component allows you to define the toolbar content by using a template. For example, a template that contains all toolbar elements like commands, a search box, icons, and more.
This demo shows an implementation of a toolbar template incorporating a Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC DropDownList to list the Data Grid records by category. The DropDownList is populated with a list of categories. When an option is selected, the Grid is filtered by invoking the client-side grid.dataSource.filter()
method of the DataSource.
The toolbar template is defined through the ToolBar(toolbar => { toolbar.ClientTemplate();})
method that accepts a Template component. The Template component allows you to incorporate an arbitrary HTML and any Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC component into the toolbar of the Grid.
For more information, refer to the official Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Data Grid product documentation on the available toolbar options.
