MCA used the 14000 series of catalog numbers for two distinct purposes. First, MCA started a 2-LP soundtrack series in 1978, which only had one release, The Wiz (MCA2-14000). That same year, MCA used the 14000 numbers for a short-lived picture disc series starting at MCAP-14950. This only lasted for two releases.
The Wiz Soundtrack used a custom label that was yellow with black print, with "THE WIZ" in block letters that faded from yellow to red.We would appreciate any additions or corrections to this discography.
